Job description
Responsible for ensuring safe storage and transportation of high value items, working with Logistics, Project Management and Engineering teams.
Responsibilities
Goods In Processing
· Receive all deliveries
· Check items, put in goods in rack, email purchaser to confirm
· Monitor goods due in list, chase up overdues
· Safely drive the fork lift truck to manoeuvre deliveries around warehouse and fabrication spaces
· Sort through all equipment and consumables coming back from a finished job site
Goods In Testing
· Power up electronics, check inputs and performance, record serial numbers
· Liaise with suppliers for RMA numbers and to resolve any problem
Goods Out
· Package up items to be shipped out
· Spec and order shipping crates / flight cases as required
· Load/unload truck and drive items safely to site
· Load/unload truck and drive items safely between sites
Stocks Management
· Check stock/consumables levels weekly against check sheet, raise POs requests as required
· Keep stock bins and racking organized and tidy
· Keep aware of upcoming projects and dynamically adjust stock levels to suit
· Optimize orders to minimize purchase and transport costs
Tools, Vehicles and Equipment
· Manage workshop tools and site tools including the signing out system, keep batteries charged and tool kits complete
· Manage servicing/maintenance/cleaning of vehicles, HVAC, security, alarms, lighting, flooring, racking etc
Housekeeping
· Ensure the Goods in area and warehouse are clean and tidy at all times.
· Ensure project bays are cleaned up after every install or demo
· Ensure all trash is emptied daily
About You
- Strong listening and communication skills
- Able to lift, carry, push and pull materials up to 50 pounds and heavier weights with the proper equipment
- Confident driver
- Team player
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
